Kobe Bryant, An Epic Journey in Life and Basketball

On the morning of January 26, 2020 the devastating news of Kobe Bryant’s death crashed people’s hearts. Perhaps, the news is more crashing than the incident itself.

It chattered dreams and memories of fans around the world who followed the basketball giant’s career for years. The news is very sad… However, while reflecting on the life of Kobe Bryant, we decided that the best condolences would be devoting a tribute to his legacy.

Who is Kobe Bryant

Born on August 23 1978, Bryant made history in a span of less than 42 years.  His parents were fans of the city of Kobe in Japan. More specifically, they loved the specialty beef of this city. Therefore, Kobe carried the name of the place all his life.

However, another remarkable city that Kobe carries in his heart would be Reggio Emilia in Italy. As Kobe once stated that he spent some of the best years of his life in this Italian region. As a child, his parents moved to Italy for a couple of years before heading back to the States.

In this Italian region, he learned to play soccer along with basketball. He was fond of sports and quite talented at an early age. As a result, Kobe’s upbringing made him multilingual in Italian and English, a skill that would add a lot of flavor to his outstanding legacy.

Another remarkable aspect in his success would be his father, Joe Bryant. He was a former NBA player who knew very well the recipe for success in this sports. Joe accelerated his success from an early age by training him through theory and practice. This helped him immensely in becoming the corner stone of the Los Angeles Lakers from 1996 till 2016.

Lessons Learnt from Kobe Bryant

Legends never die, their memories will always be restored for generations to come. Kobe had overcome many obstacles in his career and personal life. Death would be no difference. His name will continue to shine and his memory will be ever present.

Kobe knew what he wanted in life, he chose the NBA and won 5 NBA Championships. In 2008, he earned the tile of NBA Most Valued Player-MVP

In 2012, Bryant earned the title of one of the 35 Greatest McDonald’s All-Americans. Moreover, in 2018, a book published under the title of  “The Mamba Mentality: How I Play” included many remarkable photos and words of wisdom of the star.

All of these milestones are only a slice of the legend’s life. He managed to secure many titles and honored many lists. All of his personal connections state that he was very committed, ethical and professional. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that he earned this much with very little time.

Kobe Bryant is a success story the world may never witness again. His life is truly a role model not only for professional basketball players but for us all.
